The wedding took place on Wednesday, at St. Matthew’s Church, Boulevard, of Mr and Mrs W. S. Hepton, second son of Mr and Mrs E. S. Hepton, St. Matthew-street. Hull, and Mrs Gladys Buttery, only daughter of Mr and Mrs A. E. Buttery, Gypsyville.

The bride, who wore a dress of ivory chiffon velvet and silver bridal veil and orange blossom, had as bridesmaids Miss Celia and Miss Kitty Hepton, sisters of the bridegroom.

The bride was given away by her father. Mr Ernest Sawdon was best man, and the Rev — Roberts officiated at the ceremony.

The bride’s bouquet consisted of arum lilies and pink and white carnations. Miss C. Hepton carried one of tulips, and the other bridesmaid a ruff of flowers.

A splendid skunk fur wrap was the present of the bridegroom to his bride, and the latter presented the bridegroom with a useful leather suit case. Many beautiful presents were given to the happy couple, who, after a reception at the York Hotel, Anlaby-road, left for their honeymoon at Scarborough.

Messrs Thornton-Varley’s supplied the wedding gown.
