Wedding of Ernest Ford & Ida Burton, 1920 April 6, Hull Daily Mail
Kingston Wesleyan Chapel was the scene recently of a pretty wedding, the parties being Miss Ida Burton, second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. H. Burton, of Brindley-street, East Park, and Lieut. E. Ford, R.N.R., the second son of Capt. and Mrs W. Ford, of Cottingham-road. The Rev R. A. Loten officiated. The bride looked charming in a gown of ivory silk, with an over dress of Brussels silk and taffeta, daintily trimmed with white ostrich feathers and orange blossoms. She was given away by her father.
The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Walter Ford, and dressed in the uniform of the R.N.R. The bridesmaids were Miss Ivy Ford (sister of the bridegroom), and Miss Dora Gardham, and they carried shower bouquets of pink and white carnations. After a reception at the Metropole Hall, the bride and bridegroom left for Harrogate.
